Am I being the Jerk? (Post Man Edition)

So remember how the north east got like 3 feet of snow? Well, we have 2 ways to get to our front entrance where the mailbox is. We snow blowed the entrance off the driveway. It is maybe 10 feet further than going up the front steps. So now, after the snow is mostly melted, out mail carrier leave us a note saying "shovel your steps or you will not get any more mail"  So DH went out after working 12 hours yesterday and shoveled the steps. I'm pissed an want to call the post office. Am I overreacting?
