Yesterday I met with a fetal specialist who was going to evaluate my condition and perform a RFA procedure to stop blood flow to the acardiac twin. Well to everyone's surprise he couldn't find any traces of blood flow! He said that sometimes the flow will clot itself off so no procedure is needed. We were shocked. On top of that amazing news they took a very long and detailed look at our little girl and said the she looks perfectly healthy. No ill effects from the acardiac twin at all. I have to have one more follow up appt with the specialist in 3 weeks but as long as there is no change then the doc said I should have a normal singleton pregnancy from then on. Hubby and I will feel so much better in 3 weeks but even now there is a huge relief off our shoulders!!
