36 week appnt

So we went last night for our 36 wk appnt.  At 34 weeks, baby was measuring 4 lb 12 oz (I know that the measurements could be off)  Last night he was measuring 6 lb 4 oz!  Clearly, we were surprised.  The dr did an internal and said I'm not dilated, but I ma soft, and based on baby's size, she does not think I''m making it to my DD march 25.  She suggested I go out of work March 8.  But I'm a teacher and parent teacher conferences are the 12.  I am going to try to stay till the 13.  It seems so soon now.  Anyone else's dr say they think they'll go early?
