Recovery - Bleeding

February 2013 in 3rd Trimester

I know this is a messy subject, but everyone goes thru it. I was wondering how long the messy (gushing) bleeding goes on after delivery. How long does it take to taper off??? That seems gross to me. I don't like pads, but I know I will have to use them. I have a feeling I will be embarrassed to have an accident.
