compression stockings?

i had a dizzy spell and told my ob about it. he said to get TED stockings. i googled it and there are so many types and different levels of compression.

has anyone used these types of stockings? i read some pregnant woman wearing them during long plan rides but idk how they can wear those during a plane ride because i read you have to have your feet elevated when using them.
