Co-Ed Shower

Hello ladies! Looking to see your thoughts on a co-ed shower. When DH and I got married nearly five years ago we had a co-ed wedding shower that was like a summer backyard barbeque - it was awesome! It was only my side because his side had done one separately. I'm not much for game playing and I wanted to celebrate our wedding with my hubby and family - both male and female.

My sister asked my thoughts on our baby shower in June and I was hoping we could do the same thing. One problem; I am worried that if we invited both male and female from BOTH sides of our family it would be ridiculous expensive and I don't want to ask that burden of anyone. Wondering if anyone has had a co-ed shower in the past or is considering one for this go round and if they have any brilliant advice. I'm a FTM and wanted to celebrate this milestone with my hubby too. TIA!!
