I got a bill in the mail last week from Sequenom for $1100.  I called this morning to ask about the bill and the customer service rep asked "Would you like to pay that in full at this time?"  I told him, no because I had been told that I would only be responsible for $235 .  He said "That is correct, and we will write off the rest."  So, I only paid $235 but I just wanted to share my experience and let others who have had the test know that Sequenom will *try* to get you to pay the entire amount that your insurance won't cover but that you really are only responsible for $235.
