I'm so relieved my students all know now! I hate keeping secrets lol. It was really great playing hangman because all the kids ages 522 and wide spectrum of cognitive ability were able to be involved even if they couldn't read "Kristina is pregnant!". Once some of the girls started figuring it out, the excitement was contagious to the others. They were over the moon!! Full of questions, too, but all were appropriate...for now. One girl was a little upset which I predicted happening. She is very bonded with me so not only was there a jealousy issue, but she expressed being sad I will have to leave for a long time when baby arrives. This girl has called me Mom since 7 years ago and isn't sure where she will fit in once I have a kid of my own. Maybe if I have her be my pregnancy secretary and keep track of my tummy measurements and learn how baby is developing, she will still feel involved. Great having so much support from the 11 other girls, though!
