Hi! I am peeking in from IF board, I saw your response to the antibiotics during IVF....

"I had antibiotics prescribed for both of my IVF procedures. Three days, if memory serves. (Day before transfer, ET day, day after) And one that was sort of an anti-rejection thing - it would help my body not to attack the embryos as foreign bodies, just in case."

I am RH- and my husband is + and I read somewhere that my body could be attacking his sperm and could attack the embryos.

I have asked my doctors if I should get an antibiotic or Rhogam shot and they have told me no on several occasions because my blood and the babys blood will not mix, I will not get the shot until after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

I am having my ET today and I wanted to know if this is the reason they gave you an antibiotic the day of the ET so your body would not attack the embryos.
