Suede Cloth or Wetness Sensitivity?

How do I know if my LO has a suede cloth or wetness sensitivity? My LO gets a red blotchy rash when he's in a 4.0 (90% of our stash) and is super red (but doesn't look rashy/blotchy like he does in a 4.0) with a prefold. He's definitely a heavy wetter. He's only a tiny pink when he's in a sposie but obviously I don't want to use disposables. Any suggestions or tips?? TIA
