The "epidural game" my hospital apparently likes to play...

I have planned all along on having an epidural, and especially now that I am being induced since that apparently makes labor more intense. 

I am now hearing through others that my hospital in general frowns upon epidurals during delivery, and they like to try and hold off administering them until it's too late. 

I'm pretty much going go in making it clear before we even start that I want an epidural as soon as I can, and making sure it's understood by all involved in my delivery... is that how others would handle it?

 Thanks for the input...I'm anxious and nervous!
