(XP from PAIF) Brown spotting anyone?

Hey ladies. So I admit Im a TP checker and have been the entire pregnancy. So imagine my surprise when I find lots of brown spotting this morning! I am trying to stay calm since i have NO idea what it could or does mean and I refuse to google. I called the OB on call and he said its normal this far along. What do you ladies think? Anyone experience this or have any insight? I have a MFM appiontment today and OB tomorrow and he said to leave my appointments the way they were. Think its the start of something? I was having odd pains yesterday and genuinely uncomfortable all around but nothing I would call contractions or that I could time or anything like that.
