Swollen Tongue

I woke up this morning and my tongue is slightly swollen, it seems like the taste buds in the back along the edge are swollen really, making small blister looking spots that are sensative.  This happened once before a month or so ago, but more drastic, all over my tongue making me sound like Elmer Fudd when I tried to talk.  I figured I had a reactionto something I ate.  I have not eaten ANYTHING out of the ordinary this time, and it's taking longer to go away.  anyone else have this problem?  Oh and I know it's not from salt or water retention because miraculously my wedding band fit today, would not happen if i was retaining.
