What is this pain?

I am 35 weeks today. Occasionally, when I have been walking a lot during the day, I get very sharp knife like jabs in my pubic bone area. It will come on so fast nd without warning when I take one stride, but maybe not be there the next. It?s painful enough that it stops me in my tracks or I have to slow my pace WAY down?even then they still occur. Is this ligament pain?

 

Also, I don?t think I?ve really experienced much for Braxton Hicks contractions as I don?t know what they feel like. As I?m getting closer to my due date I must ask, do REAL contractions feel like extreme menstrual cramping? Or do they feel differently.
