What's it like when you meet your baby?

So I am HOPEFULLY going to go any minute/day now and last night I held this little 3wk old baby and was just thinking that I'm going to have this anytime now. 

It lead me to wondering, after 9 months with them inside you and you dreaming about them, envisioning them, planning for them, when you actually MEET the baby, does it feel like you know them, like there's a connection already or is it like someone just handed you a little baby and good luck. 

I'm a FTM so I wonder what it will be like to meet them.
