Daycare & Bottles Dilemma

DS has been in daycare since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 7 months old. I send him with 4, 4oz bottles and 1 meal of solids (3-4oz of yogurt or a puree usually). He is there from 7:20am until about 5:30pm every day, and lately they are saying he needs more milk. I don't think it is a growth spurt as he is not cluster feeding at home and seems content with nursing 3 hours or so on the weekends. So it seems like 4, 4oz bottles should be sufficient for  the10 hours given that he nurses around 6:30am before I drop him off.

I was wondering if making his bottles bigger (5 oz or so) and then giving him 3 would be a better fit. For those that have been through DC with a BF baby, did you find bigger bottles more spaced apart to work? I know that 16oz should be plenty as he still nurses at least 3-4 times outside of daycare. Any advice would be appreciated.
