Hips popping and cracking question

My hips constantly hurt I have to change positions every half hour it seems because my hips hurt so bad at night.. When I change positions they make this horrible popping noise and cracking which actually hurts.. I read online that it could be SPD. Which makes me very nervous about that possibly causing problems during labor due to spreading your legs far. Has anyone else had this type of pain as well if so, did you have a normal delivery? I'm hoping that its just normal aches and pains associated with being at the end of pregnancy
