Comfort nursing?

My daughter is 5 days old and I am nursing on demand to build up my supply. She naps throughout the day and whenever she is awake she wants to nurse, even if we just nursed within the last hour. She usually falls asleep and continues to suckle for sometimes as long as an hour and I usually have to break the latch. I didn't succesfully nurse my first child who is now 2 so I'm determined to make sure it works this time and wont be introducing pacifiers or bottles for atleast the first 6 weeks. Will this comfort nursing gradually stop as she gets a little older and is eating more? I dont mind it but its hard to get anything done or spend quality time with my other daughter because my newborn is at the breast even while sleeping
