Can I pump with Overactive Letdown?

Hi All, My LO is 3 months old and we are BF. When she was a month old, I found out I had an overactive letdown and was told by the LC not to pump as this could make it worse. I haven't pumped since, but would like to be able to pump once a day or every other day to have BM bottles when I cannot be here. I have only ever needed to give her a bottle a handful of times, but it has been formula. She is fine with it, but I would rather pump and give her BM if possible. My question is, since she is older and my letdown seems to be under more control, or she can handle it better, can I pump? TIA!!
