low fetal weight and placenta breakdown

January 2013 in 3rd Trimester

Hello All-

I had an US done and the baby is measuring 33.5 weeks while my gestation is 35.5 weeks. It is on the low end of normal so they are having me go in once a week to watch for placenta breakdown. The doctor is talking about inducing at 38 weeks. I'm a little nervous about the whole situation...has anyone been through the same?
