if you've had Mastitis

So in a matter of 7 hours last night I went from feeling completely fine to severe pain in my left breast, chills, aches, and throwing up. I brought DS into bed and nursed him over and over on the left side, expressed in the shower, warm compress, etc. Finally I took my temperature and it was 102. I told DH I definitely had an infection and needed to go to Urgent Care. We have no walk in clinics in town. The doctor said it was a good thing I came early because at the rate I was going I was quickly heading toward an abcess if I had waited.

Anyway. I got a script for antibiotics. Just wondering how long the pain lasted once you started antibiotics? My fever is gone and I feel so much better but my breast is still very red and very tender.
