Working out

I went to the gym yesterday for the first time since being pregnant and took an hour long aerobic class. I did everything low impact and felt fine. I could feel my heart pounding a little louder than usual but I figured that was all the extra blood that our bodies are pumping. After class I went to talk to the instructor about modifying certain movements. She mentioned something about when our heart rate goes up then so does the babies which is already fast blah blah blah. Needless to say I then pictured my little baby's heart racing to the point of explosion and now I feel like I killed my baby. I don't have my next appointment for another 2 weeks. I know I'm being silly but I need some reassurance please!! Do any of you ladies take aerobics while pregnant?
