Where will your newborn sleep??

So this is my first pregnancy and while I'm super excited to set up my baby's nursery I'm a little sad my baby won't be enjoying his/her nursery right away. I've read on most websites that a newborn should sleep in the same room as you. Have you done this or will you be doing this? And what bassinet/ portable crib is the best to put in your room in the meantime?
