Which baby carriers have you tried?
What do you want for this baby?
I'm an addict. Last time I had:
Seven Slings pocket sling: essentially trash so DO NOT GET THIS EVEN THOUGH IT IS "FREE". It did work with a hip carry for a few months fairly well, but otherwise sucked.
Homemade wrap (like a moby): I'm not a wrapper. Just couldn't get into it.
Infantino Wrap-and-Tie mei tai: My favorite for a newborn. Very secure, good ergonomics, great price (about $30 new), works for a long time.
Ergo Sport: liked it a lot for longer trips and walks, didn't get the infant insert and don't think I will this time either as it looks like an oven for a summer baby.
Ring Sling (no name, 2 layer cotton): The one I still use today with a nearly 2 year old. Love it for up-and-down toddlers and plan to try it out with a little baby. I got this when he was about 6 months old and it worked really well.
