Question....swollen hands

I posted this on my months board also but I wanted to ask you ladies too....So I am 35 wks 5 days...for the past 3 weeks my hands and feet have been swelling up. My question is about my hands. During the night they get so swollen that they hurt and wake me up to where I have to put my arms and hands straight up in the air and clench and unclench my fist until the pain and numbness goes away. Is this normal or should this be a concern enough to call my doctor?
