causes for reverse cycling

LO seems to prefer to nurse at night and now has his most significant nursing sessions at night.  I looked it up on kellymom and it says some of the reasons may be that mom is busy or working out of the house. Neither of these are the case.  I offer the breast frequently, and he latches for about two sucks and then sits himself up.  He nursed one time all day today.  You would think he would be starving....any ideas what's causing this or how to get daytime nursing back on track? TIA!
