Newbie questions

Ok so I have been doing my research this is not my first child but my first attempt at BF so I have a couple of questions.

1. In the hosp after labor do BF moms keep the baby in the room with them the entire night or did you have the nursery watch and bring them in when feedings are needed? (I am worried because I remember being SOOO tired that night and enjoyed the peaceful nights rest after labor, I am worried by BF I will not get that and get frustrated)

2. In the beginning when you only have the colestrum (cp?) first 3 days or so are you feeding every 2-3hrs still? I guess what I am saying is does a newborn first 1-2 days old feed that often?

3. I was reading that to avoid painful engorgment you have to wake a sleeping baby to feed..............how long do you have to do this.....or do you have to do this at all and just feed on demand?
