Need advice/encouragement on toddler weaning

DD turned 18 months old yesterday. We have had a long journey full of up's and down's breastfeeding. All in all, I loved the experience and I am a bit sad to be letting go, but I feel that now is the right time to wean.

At this point I have her only nursing at night. Last night she stayed at her grandparents last night, and I have not pumped. I'm pretty uncomfortable right now. I think that since I'm nearly two days in, I should just let this be it. I know that at bedtime she is going to throw a fit. I'm just really nervous about getting really emotional and not being able to handle not giving in.

Any advice on how to soothe when she wants to nurse or on how to make the whole process less painful would be great.
