New pump?

I EBF DS for a year and pumped at work with a Medela PISA. I definitely started struggling a few months before the end. I had built up a decent freezer stash and between that, spending literally every second I could attached to the pump, and DS starting to eat more solids, we just barely made it.

I'm not sure if my pumping struggles were due to decreased supply or issues with the pump itself. Supply seemed totally fine when I was with DS.

Does it sound like I should get a new pump for DS2? I feel like I read somewhere that pumps can die out. (BTW I'm 33 weeks, never bothered with a new ticker.)
