I love my nipple shield!!

My DS had a difficult time at birth and wouldn't latch for the first day, He was fed with a syringe at first, but by the second day he had a very good latch. This lasted until he had to be put under the bili-lights. The worst 24-hrs. Nothing the nursing staff, the LC or I did was helping so i would up pumping and bottle feeding him. 

That's been going on for 3 days. I kept putting off getting a nipple shield because I was always told to avoid them at all costs. I broke this morning and went out to buy one because I am getting absolutely no sleep between pumping and feeding him. Let me tell you this is the best thing I could have ever done. the past three feedings he hasn't needed the bottle at all, just the nipple shield. I'm actually going to get to sleep a bit tonight!!!!
