Spinal for c section

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and have a repeat c section scheduled for the beginning of week 39. I have so much anxiety about the spinal. With my first child I labored for 12 hrs and then had a csection. The doctors had a hard time finding the right spot and had to keep reinserting the needle. It was terrible. I almost passed out from the pain and had to get an iv of ephedrine to keep me stable. I'm giving birth at a very prestigious and well known hospital in TN this time instead of a tiny understaffed hospital in a ghost town in PA. Im still scared and anxious though. Can anyone tell me about their experience with a epidural/spinal...especially if it was a good experience? Thanks.
