So I've been MIA for a little bit. Things got really crazy at the beginning of the month when on the 4th my High Risk Dr decided that it was time to induce! I always knew she would probably arrive a little early because of my pre-eclampsia, but it was still shocking nonetheless. 

I was admitted to the hospital on the 4th and we began the inducement process on Sunday (the 6th). Despite getting big, regular contractions on pitocin, two nights of cervadil and a dose of cytotec did nothing to ripen my cervix so on the 8th we had a c-section. 

Amelia Rose was born at 5:19PM. She was 7lb, 4 oz and 20 inches. A pretty good size considering she was 3 weeks early!

She had some troubles with Jaundice and had to be readmitted to the hospital at 6 days old. But she only had to stay one night because she reacted super quickly to the treatments. So she's back home and doing great!

It's super weird to think that I'm a mom now, but me and hubby are so in love with our little girl.
