Breastfeeding

whats normal for the first few days

im in hosp day 3 post csec ive been breastfeeding suplimented twice once 15ml yesterday and 25 ml earlier today of formula, nipples are killing me i assume due to bad latching baby keeps falling asleep on the breast but i am certain hes getting something... still waiting for my milk to come in though.. my husband is enroute to purchase some nipple shields to see if that will help with pain and latching?

am i doing everything i can?
