MaterniT21 and Verifi?

hi - i'm new...kind of! i just had my first baby girl in feb 2012 and now we are back expecting our second in august 2013.  since my last pregnancy the doctor mentioned two new tests - MaterniT21 and Verifi.  he was just amazed by the science behind the two and how far they have come with the research, calling them "awesome".  he provided us with the pamphlets but i haven't really done much research.  anyone have any feedback?  whats the difference between the two and the benefit of one over the other?  the dr. office said they cost around $200 / $225 each.
