Is it normal for some of the areola to be pulled into the tunnel of the flange? With the 24mm, my nips were rubbing the sides of the tunnel it hurt, so I now have the 27mm. With the 27mm, my nipple moves freely but about half my areola gets pulled into the tunnel. It's a little uncomfortable during pumping for a little bit afterward, but lanolin seems to help I've only pumped a few times, so maybe it's uncomfortable because I'm new to it??
I'm getting about 1 ounce per breast in 510 mins.
I've seen the pictures on medela's website in how the breast shields are supposed to fit. Just looking for input, thanks!
