Frustrating appt with ENT for lip tie/tongue tie

Mainly just a vent...We just got back from a consultation with an ENT for LO's lip tie. He had a posterior tongue tie that was corrected at 2 wks, but according to this dr, it wasn't done as completely as it should have been, and some of it grew back. She also said that his lip tie should have been corrected at the same time. To do them both now would be much more of a "procedure'--it would be painful for LO and would require a numbing shot. She said the only reason to do it would be to help with any nursing pain (I had been worried about speech impediments and tooth spacing, which she said shouldn't be concerns). At this point, nursing is only uncomfortable about 30% of the time, so I'm just going to leave things as they are. BUt i'm so frustrated that this wasn't done right the first time--if it had been, I could be having a much more positive nursing experience with LO! I guess now I know for baby #2.
