Breast Pumps: Buying vs Renting

I've got to make a case for DH on why we should buy this (for now) $219 breast pump instead of renting one. I read somewhere that it's $100 a month to rent and that's not including all the parts you have to buy for it. I plan to breastfeed until at least 6 months so it seems more cost friendly to buy. Anyone have preferences? Or good evidence I can give to DH to convince him of my thinking??

Edit: I know Medela is rated very well, and I was wondering whether anyone has urchased or looked at the Swing Breastpump from Medela??
