Has anyone done acupuncture???

I am not dilating at all and my friend (who is a physical therapist) recommended that I try acupuncture so I signed up for an appointment with an prenatal acupuncturist. However, I've never had acupuncture. Has anyone else tried it for their pregnancy? I'm kind of nervous/squeemish about it.
