I've never posted here before, but I just had to vent about something I read in a magazine at my OB's office today (and I knew you ladies would understand!). The article was titled, "Infertility leads to baby," or something like that. It was about a woman and her husband who tried on their own for 8 months to conceive, at which point they decided to see a fertility specialist. They decided to start testing/treatment after the couple came back from vacation. On vacation, the woman got a positive pregnancy test and went on to have a wonderful, uncomplicated pregnancy and healthy baby boy. The end.
I could not believe what I was reading. No wonder so many couples think they need to seek early treatment, when a pregnancy magazine apparently defines infertility as 8 months! I am *thisclose* to writing to the magazine and complaining about their use of the word "infertility."
