Worried, and also annoyed

Here is a bit of background:

When I had my 20 week ultrasound they saw a bit of an echogenic bowel, would could be a marker for several conditions (CF, downs, etc). So they had me go up to Boston to have a level II u/s with a specialist, and they ran a bunch of tests to rule out each of the conditions. All my tests came back normal and the specialist said he saw NO sign of an echogenic bowel (he said the 1st finding could have been due to machine/viewer error or my thinness). 

Because of that initial finding however, my OB office wanted me to go in for a growth ultrasound at 30 weeks, which I just did last Monday. They just called me today to say that everything looks great with growth, but they see a bit of echogenic bowel again and one of his kidneys is slightly dilated (which she said is usually a normal finding, especially in boys). But because of the echogenic bowel, they want me to go for another level II u/s up in Boston. I asked what they they think the problem could be, seeing as all my blood tests showed no finding for CF, infection, or chromosomal abnormalities. She said it could be a structural abnormality or that little guy swallowed some blood at some point (which is not a big deal at all). . . both of which it seems like they couldn't/wouldn't do anything for at this point. Or it could be nothing, of course.

First of all, I don't completely trust my OB sonogram viewer because of what the specialist told me in Boston for my first level II u/s. Secondly, I don't really understand the point of going for another u/s since it doesn't seem like it will give any specific answers and/or there is nothing to be done even if it did, right? Of course I am a bit worried about these slightly abnormal findings, so peace of mind would be good I guess if the u/s provides that. But sometimes I think all this technology that finds potential problems is more negative than positive. 

Sorry this is long, just needed to see if anyone had similar experiences and what happened with it. I have a regular appt tomorrow, so I am going to talk to them more about it then.
