XP: STM+ Moms...Target Diapers.

I use target diapers for my 21 month old and have for a long time.  Love them.  When he was a newborn, we used pampers for while until I discovered how much cheaper Target diapers are.  Anyway.... I bought some newborn Target diapers this time for # 2.  They are AWFUL.  Super-scratchy, like paper.  I'm not even sure I'll be able to use them. 

So my question is, at what size do they start to not completely suck?  I just find it so odd that there is such a difference in the materials.
