Scabs on nipples?

I have been nursing my newborn since Thursday and I have scabs on the tips of both nipples. I expected some nipple trauma but will this affect milk flow to ds? Should I try and do something about it or just leave it alone?

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1Samuel 1:27
