Flu shot nonsense (long rant)

So I went to the OB on Friday.... She told me and my hubby "get your flu shot ASAP" ( they did not have any vaccines left in the office, so they recommended we go to the pharmacy). 

I asked if it had to be preservative free and she said no that the regular flu shot is fine.

so I called around yesterday... Flu shot shortages everywhere. I finally found a CVS in my area that had 8 left.  I rush over there, fill out the paperwork and the pharmacist notices that I wrote I am preggers on my paperwork and says " you can't get this, you are pregnant".

  I told him... "My OB sent me here to get one, and shetold me that the presevative free shot was not  necessary... And I told him that there are not many flu shots and NO preservative free shots in the area due to the shortage."

so he gave me the shot.... Why would he not want to give me the shot when the CDC, WHO and several other reputable organization have deemed it okay for pregnant women. Now he has made me nervous!
