GD and breastfeeding

Hi ladies. I was just wondering if anyone had GD, and how breastfeeding went from the beginning. I had a terrible time nursing my son, and ended up EPing. I was hoping things would be smoother this time around.

Now I have GD, and I take insulin. I know this can cause the baby to have low sugar at birth, and possible be supplemented. Has anyone had experience with this? How did you make BFing successful?
