When did you start pumping/bottle feeding breast milk?

I obviously haven't had my baby yet, but I have been wondering about this for awhile. I searched back several pages and couldn't find anything about it. How old was your LO when you started pumping and bottle feeding breast milk (if that's something you did?) I REALLY want to breastfeed, and I am scared about nipple confusion; however, I also have some weddings I would like to attend when LO is quite young (3-5 weeks), I will have to go back to work at 6 weeks, and I also want my husband to be able to feed the baby. How soon is too soon? I am so worried about work and being able to breastfeed.
