Baby's moves are less violent now that he's dropped?

Is this a thing? Usually he keeps me up nights kicking every which way, but last night and the night before he's been really mellow. Is it because he's dropped, or because I'm 38 weeks? 

I know there's no real cause for concern, (at least I'm pretty sure, since I do still feel him moving... when I concentrate....)
