Traditions vs. Superstitions (MIL is crazy)

Ok, so DH came home the other day and said he spoke with his mom... apparently she told him it was bad luck to have ANY baby stuff in the house before the baby (or babies in our case) is born.  WTF?  Have you ever heard of this?

I looked at DH and flat out said "Your mom is smoking crack if she think I'm not preparing to bring twins home.  I will have all of their clothes washed, bottles ready (if necessary) Pack'n'Play set up (since that's where they'll be sleeping), etc." He just nodded, and considering he's a pretty organized person and a planner, I don't think he disagrees, but I can't figure out why he would even tell me this if he wasn't taking it into consideration.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share this and hopefully give ya'll a good laugh!  Happy Friday!
