International travel in 2nd-3rd trimester

Hi Ladies,

What are your thoughts and experiences of long haul international travel late in the 2nd trimester/early in the 3rd trimester.  

I am Australian, living in Colorado.. I have a chance to travel home (12 hour direct flight from LA) in the last week of February, so while travelling I will be approx 24-27 weeks. I have a very low risk, healthy pregnancy so far (this is my 1st pregnancy).  Problem is my OB/GYN is very conservative when it comes to international travel - she does not want me travelling past January.  I am very happy with her and won't change doctors over it, but I personally think she is overly cautious on this issue.  

I would really appreciate any advice on this.
