Push gift

I was watching "one born every minute" and one of the women mentioned that she really wanted a "push gift" when her labor was all over with.  I assumed this meant she wanted a big gift (jewelry, purse, etc) for the labor and delivery? I'm not sure how I feel about this and was wondering what you ladies thought.  I think if my DH did something as a surprise that would be really sweet but the thought of expecting or demanding a gift b/c you labored just doesn't sit well with me.  Isn't that kinda what we all signed up for haha?  I've never heard of this before. 

Anyway, thought I would post b/c we seem to be in a debating mood today
