Can a EBF baby gain too much weight?

DS is 3 weeks old, from 1 week to 2 weeks, he gained 12oz, from 2 weeks to 3 weeks he gained a pound! So for two weeks in a row he's gained 12 to 16oz... That seems like A LOT in a short period of time. He eats 8 to 9 times a day for 2025 minutes.

Should I be concerned at the amount he's gaining? It's the complete opposite if the experience I had BFing DD... She struggled to gain weight, so I don't know what to think about him.
